First Padel Championship
Last weekend 3rd and 4th of December 2022 took place “The First Padel Championship” in Celebrations Club located in Mumbai, concretely in Andheri West.
The Padel Championship was played in the first World Padel Tour Special Edition in India. It is a panoramic court made by Padel Galis Factory. Padel Galis, located in Spain, is a worldwide reference in the designing and manufacturing of padel courts. It is the official supplier the World Padel Tour Tournament and it is making the Wilson court. Padel Galis has innovation in their products, it is the key to give the highest quality and excellence.
This Padel Championship had many supporters, but everything was under the encouragement of the Padel Tennis Federation. The Sporzz was the organizer, Muscleblaze was the title Sponsor for the event and was powered by Decathlon. Inaction sports, Alt Sports, Tankant, TSF were the associate partners of The First Padel Championship. And brands such as 8 miso, Wilddrum and Redbull also helped to make this event happen.
During the first day, 3rd of December, the matches involved 16 teams and later on out of the 16 teams 8 were qualified for playing the next day matches. On 4th of December, Quarter finals, Semifinals and Finals were held which decided the winners of the Championship. The match format was played over the best of 3 sets.The first two sets were Fast4 sets (First to win 4 games). And the final set was a 7-point Match Tie-Break with a deciding point at 6-6.
The winners of the First Padel Tournament Championship were Pratish Thadani and Jay Jain, who played exceptionally well to win the deserved trophy.
The Padel Tennis federation’s main objective is to develop Padel in all its forms throughout India. For this reason, we encourage and support all private initiatives, like this “First Padel Championship”.
